We are a group of 3D designers, graphic
designers, writers and content developers in
different companies who have worked together
on many projects over many years.
Over time, we noticed that on smaller projects
our collaboration could achieve dramatic value for
money - basically creating a good quality display
on a shoestring budget.
Our success comes from knowing
each other's way of working,
knowing how to adapt display
concepts to suit the client's scale
of operation, and knowing what
visitors consider a good offer. It
sounds simple, but all too often
on big projects the client and
the visitor seem to get forgotten
after the pitch has been won.
In 2008, we decided to
co-market these collective
skills in cost-effective exhibition
design and refresh. And so
Shoestring was born - a highly
experienced, flexible team with
low overheads, an instinct for
efficiency, and belief in the value
of small 'gem' museums.
